In the field of premium cars the grinding after the surface lacquer process and at customers’ request after the first clear lacquer process is standard.
This process requires a lot of people and time. In case of the ever growing quality and quantity expectations in the automotive sector, we developed a plant with which we completely automated this manufacturing process.
Through a specialised head application a sustainable is force measurement and an automatic hub compensation with a force adjustment is made. This is necessary to receive a constant grinding behaviour and result on the bodies. There are also special changing stations, which change the robot grinding wheels automatically and, according to the grinding process, provide the relevant granulation of the abrasive paper.
