Thorough surface cleaning is essential for downstream processes such as bonding, sealing, or painting. Particles, dust, and residues can be reliably removed using automated cleaning systems. Depending on the requirements, different cleaning methods can be used, which can be seamlessly integrated into existing production lines.

Cleaning with compressed air is widely used in industrial automation. Depending on the contour shape and cleaning position, different blowing attachments can be used. This is illustrated by our cleaning system at the VW plant in Mosel, which removes excess PVC compound from threaded bolts and holes as well as surfaces during the UBS application. The head consists of a special threaded bolt cleaning unit and several air blow nozzles, which can be adjusted as required to clean surfaces and threads.
For sensitive and large surfaces, cleaning with emu feathers offers a particularly gentle and effective solution. In combination with ionization strips, even the finest particles can be efficiently removed without mechanically stressing the material. This method is used, among other things, in the preparation of black roof applications.

Sword brushes from Wandres are ideal for high-throughput applications and large-area cleaning. They are characterized by their long service life and integrated self-cleaning function, making them ideal for continuous industrial use. Particles are removed from the linear brush both mechanically by a squeegee and pneumatically by compressed air nozzles and immediately extracted.
Several robot cells with integrated sword brushes have already been successfully implemented in a project for Bentley at its Crewe plant.
