Cavity preservation (Wax Flooding System)

As one of the few specialists worldwide, we have been designing and implementing in-house developed wax flooding systems since 2015 and integrating modern vehicle types into existing systems. These are technologically sophisticated systems that are tailored to the requirements of modern car bodies and production lines.

So-called cavity preservation (HRK) is used wherever cavities, especially of car bodies, need to be effectively protected against corrosion. The special feature of the wax used is its ability to completely seal even the smallest, hard-to-reach areas. In the HRK system, the car body is positioned using specific conveyor technology and then flooded with hot wax, which seals the defined cavities. The flooding and sealing dollies are precisely matched to the geometry of the car body as well as its flooding and sealing points to achieve a thorough result. Excess material is then drained off by lifting and tilting the carbody and subsequently re-collected in heated drip zones where it will be fed back into the process.

Our first complete HRK line based on this technology was implemented in Brussels back in 2016. Since then, our systems have been used worldwide, including in Spain, Argentina, South Africa, India, the Czech Republic, Vietnam, and the USA.
